Product Description:

SUGAWELL® contains Sitagliptin, a DPP-4 inhibitor that enhances the body’s natural incretin system to manage blood glucose levels in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). It is ideal for use as monotherapy or in combination with metformin, SGLT2 inhibitors, or insulin, offering effective glycemic control without weight gain or significant risk of hypoglycemia.

How it works:

Sitagliptin inhibits the dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) enzyme, which degrades incretin hormones such as GLP-1 and GIP. These hormones help the pancreas produce insulin in response to meals and suppress the release of glucagon, thereby lowering blood glucose levels in a glucose-dependent manner.

How to use:

• Take one tablet once daily, with or without food, or as directed by your physician

• Swallow whole with water — do not chew or crush

• Can be used alone or in combination with other oral antidiabetics

• Regular monitoring of blood glucose is advised during therapy

Safety Advice:

• Low risk of hypoglycemia when not combined with sulfonylureas or insulin

• Well tolerated in patients with mild to moderate renal impairment (adjust dose as advised)
