Product Description:

BIONEXAPARIN® 40 Injection contains Enoxaparin, a low molecular weight heparin (LMWH) that is widely used for preventing and treating deep vein thrombosis (DVT), pulmonary embolism (PE), and for thromboprophylaxis in surgical and bedridden patients.

With a predictable anticoagulant response and reduced risk of heparin-induced thrombocytopenia (HIT), Enoxaparin is trusted for its safety, convenience, and efficacy across multiple clinical settings.

Key Benefits:

  • Prevents formation of dangerous blood clots in veins and lungs

  • Ideal for DVT/PE prophylaxis in post-surgical, orthopedic, and immobile patients

  • Requires no routine coagulation monitoring in most cases

  • Better bioavailability and longer half-life than unfractionated heparin

  • Once-daily dosing improves compliance and convenience

How It Works:

Enoxaparin enhances the activity of antithrombin III, which in turn inhibits Factor Xa and Factor IIa (thrombin), disrupting the clotting cascade. This action prevents clot formation and reduces the risk of thromboembolic events without dissolving existing clots.

How to Use:

  • Administer subcutaneously in the abdomen or thigh, as prescribed

  • Do not inject intramuscularly or intravenously

  • Rotate injection sites to prevent local reactions

  • Typical prophylactic dose: 40mg once daily (or as advised by physician)

  • Follow aseptic technique during administration

Safety Advice:

  • Do not use in patients with active bleeding, recent brain/spinal surgery, or uncontrolled hypertension

  • Monitor platelet counts regularly to detect HIT

  • Use with caution in patients with renal impairment — dose adjustment may be required

  • Avoid concurrent use of NSAIDs, aspirin, or other anticoagulants unless directed by a doctor

Precautions:

  • Do not expel air bubble from the prefilled syringe before injection

  • Avoid activities that increase the risk of bleeding or bruising

  • Store at below 25°C, away from light

  • Use only under medical supervision

  • Not for intramuscular use
