How it works?

Amikacin stops bacterial growth by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions whereas Cefepime works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria in the human body.Together, they eradicate your infection effectively.

Combination - Cefepime 1000mg + Amikacin 250mg + L-Arginine 370mg Inj (Fortified with Solvent for Injection)

Adult Dose :

Iverdel Forte 1.25g twice daily over 30-60 min infusion time for 5 to 7 days Elderly Dose

These dosages do not require modification in elderly patients provided that renal and hepatic functions are satisfactory.

Impaired hepatic function - No adjustment is necessary for patients with impaired hepatic function.

Impaired renal function - There is no need to adjust dosage in the elderly unless renal impairment is present.

Cefepime component is excreted by the kidneys exclusively by filtration. Therefore, in patients with impaired renal function (creatinine clearance ≤50 ml/min), the dose of Iverdel Forte should be adjusted to compensate for the slower rate of renal elimination. The recommended initial dose of Iverdel Forte in patients with mild to moderate renal impairment should be the same as in patients with normal renal function. An estimate of creatinine clearance should be made to determine the appropriate maintenance dose.
