Product Description:

BIONEXAPARIN® 60 Injection delivers Enoxaparin Sodium, a low molecular weight heparin used to prevent and treat thromboembolic disorders, including deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE). It’s also indicated in patients with unstable angina and non-Q wave myocardial infarction (MI), alongside aspirin.

Its predictable pharmacokinetics, low bleeding risk, and convenience of once or twice-daily dosing make it ideal for in-hospital and post-discharge care.

Key Benefits:

  • Prevents life-threatening blood clots in lungs and legs

  • Reduces risk of cardiovascular events in at-risk patients

  • Superior bioavailability and half-life vs. unfractionated heparin

  • Minimal need for lab monitoring

  • Administered as a single subcutaneous injection — no infusion required

How It Works:

Enoxaparin enhances the action of antithrombin III, leading to inhibition of Factor Xa and Factor IIa (thrombin) — two key clotting factors. This interrupts clot formation and helps prevent complications such as DVT, PE, or secondary cardiac events.

How to Use:

  • Inject subcutaneously, preferably in the abdominal wall or outer thigh

  • Do not inject intramuscularly or intravenously

  • Rotate sites with each dose

  • Dose frequency and duration should be determined by a physician based on weight, renal function, and indication

  • Do not expel air bubble from prefilled syringe before injection

Safety Advice:

  • Monitor for signs of bleeding, anemia, or low platelet count (HIT)

  • Regular renal monitoring recommended in elderly and renally compromised patients

  • Use with caution if taking NSAIDs, aspirin, or other anticoagulants

  • Discontinue at least 12–24 hours before surgery or spinal anesthesia

Precautions:

  • Contraindicated in patients with active bleeding, hemorrhagic stroke, or history of HIT

  • Caution in patients with uncontrolled hypertension or recent surgery

  • Store at below 25°C, away from sunlight

  • For hospital or physician-supervised home use only
