Product Description:
CEFOLITE®-TZ 1.125 Injection is a powerful combination of Ceftriaxone, a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic, and Tazobactam, a beta-lactamase inhibitor. This dual-action formula is effective against a wide range of resistant gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, including strains that produce beta-lactamase enzymes.
It is used in hospitals and clinical settings for the treatment of serious bacterial infections such as pneumonia, urinary tract infections, intra-abdominal infections, skin and soft tissue infections, septicemia, and gynecological infections.
Key Benefits:
-
Broad-spectrum coverage for resistant infections
-
Effective against beta-lactamase producing pathogens
-
Once or twice daily dosing enhances compliance
-
Rapid onset of action with IV or IM administration
-
Trusted in in-patient and post-operative infection control
How It Works:
-
Ceftriaxone inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to bacterial cell death
-
Tazobactam blocks beta-lactamase enzymes that render certain antibiotics ineffective
Together, they deliver enhanced antibacterial potency, particularly in resistant infections
