Product Description:
LINOZEM® contains Linezolid 600mg in 300ml solution for IV use. Linezolid is a synthetic oxazolidinone antibiotic effective against a broad range of multi-drug resistant (MDR) Gram-positive bacteria, including MRSA (Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus) and VRE (Vancomycin-resistant Enterococci).
LINOZEM® is ideal for hospitalized patients with confirmed or suspected resistant infections where oral therapy is not appropriate or effective.

How It Works:
Linezolid inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 23S ribosomal RNA of the 50S subunit, preventing the formation of the functional 70S initiation complex, which is essential for bacterial reproduction.
This unique mechanism reduces cross-resistance and makes it effective against drug-resistant pathogens.
How to Use:

Administer intravenously over 30 to 120 minutes using standard infusion protocols

Usual adult dose: 600 mg twice daily or as prescribed by a physician

Do not mix with other drugs in the same IV line

Suitable for use in hospital or ICU settings only
Safety Advice:

Monitor platelet count, CBC, and renal/liver function during prolonged therapy

Watch for signs of lactic acidosis, optic neuropathy, or peripheral neuropathy if used >14 days

Avoid use with MAO inhibitors or serotonergic agents due to risk of serotonin syndrome
Precautions:

Not recommended for use >28 days without strict monitoring
