Product Description:

MINOJET®-NH2 is a balanced 5% amino acid IV infusion designed for nutritional support in hospitalized patients, especially those who are critically ill, post-operative, malnourished, or unable to take oral nutrition. It delivers a blend of essential and non-essential amino acids, supporting protein synthesis, nitrogen balance, wound healing, and muscle preservation.

Ideal for ICU settings, post-surgical recovery, sepsis, trauma, and long-term parenteral feeding protocols.

Key Benefits:

  • Supplies essential amino acids required for healing and metabolic functions

  • Maintains positive nitrogen balance during critical illness

  • Supports immune function and tissue repair

  • Reduces muscle breakdown and helps preserve lean body mass

  • Enhances recovery outcomes in surgical and trauma patients

How It Works:

Amino acids are the building blocks of protein, vital for cell regeneration, enzyme production, hormone regulation, and immune support. In parenteral nutrition, a 5% solution helps restore nitrogen balance, especially when oral intake is compromised.

How to Use:

  • Administer only under the supervision of a registered medical practitioner

  • Infuse via central or peripheral IV line as per clinical need

  • Infusion rate and volume depend on age, weight, clinical status, and protein requirement

  • Usually part of Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) with glucose, electrolytes, and lipids

Safety Advice:

  • Not for self-administration

  • Monitor liver and renal function during prolonged use

  • Use cautiously in patients with hepatic encephalopathy or severe renal impairment

  • Do not use if the solution appears cloudy or contains particulates

Precautions:

  • Store below 25°C; do not freeze

  • Discard unused portion after opening

  • Avoid mixing with incompatible IV drugs without compatibility testing

  • For IV use only – not for intramuscular or subcutaneous injection
